We ask that you take the time to read each dogs bio, don't look only at their cute faces (we know its hard). A lot of love and time goes into getting to know our fosters, we take great care in trying to help them find the right homes for them. We feel its important that the family and dog are right for each other. Have an open mind with searching for your next family member, ask a lot of questions 12-14 years is a long commitment.

All of our fosters are evaluated in a home setting.

What is included in the adoption fee:
Spay or Neuter before adoption
Microchip, current on all vaccines (age appropriate)
Heartworm tested and on preventative
Crate trained and potty train unless otherwise stated.

All homes require online application, home visits, vet and/or personal references. Out-of-state adoptions are only an option when a home visit can be done by a rescue of our choice. Landlord verification is required if you rent, asking if pit bulls are accepted. BHMSR adoption fee is $100.00. We will not do same sex placements (meaning if you have a male dog, you should be looking for a female dog). It is very rare that there is an exception to this rule.
